Our company has successfully been in business for over 90 years! And with good reason; the secrets of success have been passed down through 5 generations! Charles Hersey founded Superior Linen Service in Tacoma, WA in 1926. His son, Jack Hersey, joined the family business in the early 40s, helping his father build the company and eventually it was passed down to him. In the 1950s, Jack’s two sons, Garry and Gordon, followed in their fathers footsteps — entering into the family business as well. Today, Superior Linen has survived 5 generations and remains family-owned and operated.

HOW OUR SERVICE PROGRAM WORKS

  1. A Superior Linen Service representative will provide you with a free analysis of your linen and uniform inventory, as well as your needs based on usage patterns.
  2. A rental program will be designed specifically to meet your needs.
  3. You choose your linen colors, mat, and uniform style.
  4. Employees will be individually fitted for their personal image wear, creating a more professional appeal.
  5. Once the installation date is set, 50% of your inventory will be delivered. After the initial two deliveries, the soiled linens will be picked up and returned clean, the following delivery.

WHAT IS SUPERIOR TRACKING?

Superior Tracking is an automated tracking system which uses bar codes and radio frequency technology. Bar code labels are placed inside each garment and other products. Radio frequency chips are placed in mats. Then each item can be tracked throughout our facility during the preparation and laundry process; eliminating shortages and misplaced items.

Superior tracking can accurately account for these items by tracking inventory count and location within our facility at any given time. This tracking system allows us to create accurate usage reports for our clients to accurately define and alter their linen needs. It also controls the tracking of how often the item is turned in, ensuring the lifespan of an item, as well as tracking the number of repairs and replacements of items. All this leads to better accountability, accuracy, greater customer satisfaction, and more importantly lower costs for our valued customers.
